Fishing In the "Little Amazon"

This past Friday we went out to do some post spawn peacock catching!!!! During this month and the next most of the fish tend to be on the small side. However dont let the latter prevent you from casting out your favorite lure, these little peacock bass will keep you entertained the whole day. In addition they are very kid friendly, attacking pretty much anything that passes by them. Be prepared to encounter big schools of 10 to 15 fish in the 6 to 15 inch range with some big ones in the mix. Check out our video and the pictures. TIGHT LINES!!!!!

  2. You are right man, but unfortunately in our area the species does not grow to the massive size that they grow in the Amazon. The Florida record is about 10 pounds, in Brazil they grow to over 20 pounds. Thanks for commenting :)

  6. The "little amazon" refers to the south Florida canal systems as a whole. The reason for that is because it contains many exotic species that are native to the Amazon. Thanks for stopping by :)
