Big peacock bass in HD 1080p @ 30fps using a GOPRO HD Hero3. Peacock bass are one of the most exciting fish to catch. They are awesome game fish, they are definitely big boy fish. In this video I also hooked a mayan cichlid that was protecting its young and at the very last second as I was bringing it on to land the line snapped! First three fish in the video are caught on ultralight tackle. The peacock bass however was caught on a tigerlite rod and daiwa bg 30 spooled with 12lb mono line. I hope all viewers enjoy this video! The mullet is a very common fish found in coastal and inland waters throughout the world. They are mostly limited to tropical climates and like most other brackish fish they can tolerate freshwater for prolong periods of time. Since they mostly feed on organic material such as algae and other planktonic organisms it is very hard to catch them on hook and line. As a result most fisherman that pursue them as either a food source or as bait for larger fishes such as tarpons and snook, depend heavily on cast nets to capture them. Mullet schools can be found cruising the beaches and mangroves as well as inland brackish canals which makes them easy to catch on a cast net. This past Friday we went to give cast netting for mullets a try and even though we only caught one the adventure was worthwhile. Check it out!!!!
